Are you a seasoned engineering leader passionate about building high-quality, scalable systems? My client, an exciting player in the technology space, is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead their technical vision and drive engineering excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will advocate for best practices, uphold the company’s quality standards, and play a key role in the upcoming launch of their exciting product. Over the next 12 months, you will focus on managing engineering operations, optimising processes, and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, robust product.
Key Responsibilities
As the Head of Engineering, you will:
- Ensure reliability and uptime: Enhance monitoring and incident response systems to maintain seamless operations.
- Optimise infrastructure: Scale and improve CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and future growth.
- Drive cross-team projects: Lead DevOps initiatives and infrastructure scaling to meet increasing demand.
- Support agile processes: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical discussions.
- Raise engineering standards: Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, documentation, and communication.
- Shape feature development: Define initial requirements and test cases to ensure comprehensive testing and quality control.

The ideal candidate will bring:
- Extensive experience: 10+ years in engineering, with a proven track record of designing, building, and scaling back-end systems.
- Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of distributed systems, micro-services architecture, and database design for high-scale applications.
- Infrastructure mastery: Strong experience in building scalable infrastructure, optimising CI/CD pipelines, and implementing infrastructure as code.
