A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Schools & Youth Coordinator to partner with local youth across a large geographical area of Central West NSW. This part-time role focuses on supporting and expanding youth programs, while also creating and implementing new initiatives. With flexibility in work hours and some travel required, this position is ideal for a dynamic individual passionate about working with young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing programs in primary schools, high schools and universities
- Organise and manage youth events, including gatherings, competitions, and other initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sydney-based youth staff to develop new programs for the region.
- Build and sustain relationships with schools through emails, phone calls, and in-person visits.
- Prepare and distribute newsletters and other communications to schools and stakeholders.
- Confidently plan and lead events, including handling logistics and acting as MC.
- Manage travel efficiently, with occasional overnight stays to maximise regional visits.
- Experience in working with schools, youth programs, or volunteer coordination.
- Confident, creative, and proactive in developing engaging programs for young people.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and events.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in preparing newsletters and emails.
- Comfortable with travel across the region, including overnight stays.
- Familiarity with Catholic school systems and religious education is a bonus, but not essential.
- IT skills for creating newsletters and engaging schools remotely.
