Job Description
We have a 6 month contract opportunity with one of our biggest clients who are looking for a Senior QA Engineer and are looking for someone to join ASAP. The role is Sydney based and they have a Hybrid work week.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of test plans, test scope, and test strategy.
- Development of comprehensive test cases that encompass all aspects of the software, including positive and negative scenarios, boundary conditions, and edge cases.
- Detailed test execution logs documenting the results of each test case, including pass/fail status, actual outcomes, and any deviations from expected behavior.
- Thorough defect reports that detail all identified issues, including steps to reproduce, severity, and priority, to facilitate efficient resolution by the development team.
- Creation and maintenance of regression test suites to ensure the stability and integrity of the software across multiple releases or iterations.
- Compilation of test completion reports summarizing overall testing activities, including coverage metrics, test effort expended, and key observations or insights gained.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience
- Proficient in relational databases with strong SQL/T-SQL skills for data retrieval.
- Knowledgeable in various APIs (SOAP/REST/Graph) and experienced with tools like Ready API and Postman.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and workloads simultaneously within a fast-paced agile environment.
- Experienced in testing web applications, data integration, data migration, and reporting, as well as in developing technical documentation.
- Skilled in designing and executing test activities for new and existing applications using various test types
- Effective communicator, able to convey technical concepts and information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
