Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join their team and play a key role in the re-architecture and modernization of their data platform. This position will focus on integrating diverse data sources—including SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases—to support their customer entitlements platform and Identity and Access Management (IAM) system.
Please note that this is a permanent opportunity with a hybrid working arrangement based in Melbourne CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a unified data platform that integrates SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases.
- Migrate and refactor business logic from Oracle Stored Procedures into the new platform.
- Map current-state data solutions to target-state, identifying migration steps and potential challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless delivery and integration of data platforms.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance throughout the entire process.
- 5+ years of experience in data modeling, with expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Neptune).
- Hands-on experience with Cypher (a plus) and Oracle Stored Procedures.
- Proven experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
