About the Role We’re partnering with a leading healthcare organization based in Sydney, seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their team on a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy predictive models to optimize healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights for key stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians and IT specialists, to identify business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
- Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to support decision-making.
- Present findings and recommendations through clear visualizations and reports.
- Proven experience in data science, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in Python or R, along with experience in SQL for data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, data modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with healthcare datasets, such as electronic medical records (EMRs), claims data, or clinical trial data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
