Working on behalf of our client we are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to join one of Australia's largest weighing equipment companies on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be working with a small tight-knit team in their Western Sydney workshop.
Overview:
You will be responsible for overseeing the entire fabrication process, ensuring compliance with Australian welding and fabrication standards, and managing the daily and weekly operations of the fabrication team. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent technical and managerial skills.
Responsible for:
- Updating project schedules
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Scheduling of boilermakers and welders
- Overseeing the team of fabricators and quality control of the completed work
- Complete weekly inventory audits
- Complete weekly timesheets
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience in steel/metal fabrication.
- Have sound knowledge of cloud ERP and document management systems
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
- Have proficient knowledge of the IFA and IFC drawing process.
- Have excellent knowledge of Australian welding and fabrication standards.
- Be able to interpret and understand technical fabrication drawings.
