Working on behalf of our client we are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to keep their recycling plant running smoothly. The work can be dusty and dirty, but if you enjoy problem-solving and taking initiative, this role is for you!
You’ll be working both inside and outside the plant, performing repairs, maintenance, and collaborating with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and attend to breakdowns.
- Ensure all parts are ready before starting jobs.
- Work closely with electricians and operators.
- Follow safety requirements, including wearing a fitted respiratory mask (requires being clean-shaven or minimal beard styles).
- Take initiative—don’t wait to be assigned tasks.
- Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (essential).
- Fabrication and welding experience (a bonus).
- Flexible with start times—current shift starts at 4:30 am.
- Organised and proactive approach to work.
- A team player who’s happy to pitch in when needed.
- Overtime available but not guaranteed
