We're recruiting for a leading business seeking an experienced HR/People Operations Manager. In this role, you'll be at the heart of employee engagement, safety, and learning and development, working within a high-volume, blue-collar workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Senior Operations Manager and Team Leaders to provide proactive HR and ER support to a heavily blue-collar workforce.
- Take responsibility for all safety, compliance, and learning and development (L&D) initiatives within the warehouse environment.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with payroll audits (no processing required).
- Lead toolbox talks, walk the floor, and engage with staff to deliver clear and effective communications.
- Manage a dynamic calendar, juggle multiple priorities, and navigate changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops, presenting to a range of teams and tailoring your approach as needed.
- Identify workforce trends and implement strategies to enhance engagement and productivity.
- Utilise HRIS systems (Workday and SuccessFactors) for reporting, data input, and auditing purposes.
- Operations Experience: Strong operational background is essential, preferably within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to Multi-task: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities.
- Hands-on, Grounded Approach: This is a practical, no-nonsense role where you’ll be actively involved on the warehouse floor—ready to roll up your sleeves and support your team.
- People Skills: A strong communicator who can adjust their style to effectively engage diverse teams.
- HR Expertise: Solid understanding of employee relations (ER), compliance issues, and the needs of blue-collar workforces.
- L&D Confidence: Comfortable standing up and delivering dynamic training sessions to a range of audiences.
- Adaptability: Able to pivot as priorities shift and challenges arise.
