Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to design and lead the strategy for migrating data from legacy systems to a third-party vendor solution. This migration will be from on-prem to on-prem, with integration of Databricks and Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the data migration strategy for seamless transition from legacy systems.
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of the migration process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth data flow and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in data migration projects within regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Government).
- Strong technical expertise with Databricks, Azure, and on-prem data migrations.
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with legacy system migration strategies in complex environments.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative remote environment.
- Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension).
- Location: Fully remote (must be based in Australia and work Australian hours).
