Sirius Technology is partnering with a growing and exciting financial services organisation who are looking for their next Head of Data to join their team to help transform and modernise their data platform.
This is an exciting opportunity as the role is a strategic leadership position responsible for modernising and centralising the company’s data platform, driving the data strategy, and overseeing a company-wide data migration. The ideal candidate will have a finance background, strong stakeholder management skills, and expertise in Azure and data architecture, ensuring the business leverages data effectively for operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the modernisation and centralisation of the company’s data platform, consolidating an old DW and multiple systems.
- Oversee a company-wide data migration project, ensuring efficiency across finance, risk, credit, treasury, and operations.
- Define and implement the data strategy and data management framework within the business.
- Work closely with stakeholders to drive data importance and improve strategic decision-making.
- Assess the viability of Microsoft Fabric as a universal data platform for the business.
- Provide architectural oversight, ensuring technical accuracy and best practices in the data environment.
- Proven experience as a Head of Data or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong background in finance and expertise in fraud detection and prevention strategies.
- Hands-on experience in building, modernising, and migrating enterprise data platforms.
- Azure stack expertise, with exposure to Microsoft Fabric or the ability to assess its suitability.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to influence and align teams across departments.
